Babies, Illness & Christmas Oh my!

Yes, I do know what baby #3 is going to be. However, I wont be posting it here until after Christmas as my family is not finding out till then. I am very excited and beginning to show. Maybe I should actually start doing some belly pictures now. I just switched doctors, which I have never done mid pregnancy and I meet him tomorrow morning at 10:15. He has come very highly recommened from friends so I hope it works out. I really don't want change doctors again. This new insurance is really a blessing and will help Steven and I save a lot of money.

Well, Disney was great, but that night I woke feeling awful! I was sick from Wed-Sat, I guess I got some kind of bug. Cadence then also got it and is fighting it still. Faith woke up this morning with a fever but went to bed feeling ok, so hopefully that bug will be gone by Christmas day. We aren't going anywhere tomorrow so hopefully both kids will have time to fully recooperate by the "big" day!

Many know that I have been gluten free for all of 2008 and have decided to make that a life style change as I feel so much better now and Celiac is such a risk in my family. I am beginning to get concerned that Faith may have it. I have noticed that she (TMI coming!) has very pale stools and one of the symptoms of that especially in a toddler is Celiac. I was really hoping that my kids wouldn't have to deal with it, but it looks like that just may be. I am not going to change her diet just yet, but get the blood work done first. Cadence should be going to the doctor again in the next few months, I will just add an appointment for Faith as well. I was never diagnosed as I would now have to go back on wheat, and it just isn't worth it for me.

Last Thursday was the Christmas program at Faith's school. I tried to get some good shots, but that was hard to do, so here is what I could get. She did not get nearly as involved as the other kids did, but at least she moved! That was more then I thought she would do! She tends to get quiet in big crowds (like her mommy).

We got in this time!

After our attempt to get into Disneyland the day after thanksgiving, we thought we would give it another shot. Steven's friend that got us in drove all the way from Hollywood just to get us in because he felt so badly about it not working out the last time. I am so glad that it worked out the way it did! We went on Tuesday the 16th and while it was a bit chilly, it did not rain at all! Now, it poured the day before and the day after, but Tuesday there was nothing. And though it was cold, it wasn't nearly as cold as we thought it would be. The girls had a blast, we walked onto nearly every ride! I think the longest line we had to wait in was maybe 20 minutes and that was for Peterpan. I haven't been on Peterpan in such a long time because the line is always way too long. It really turned out to be a blessing that we couldn't get in when we first tried. The park was empty on Tuesday and it worked out wonderfully!

Here are the girls waiting so eagerly to get in while we waited to get signed in

After walking onto Nemo and another ride or two, we went to go see the princesses. My daughters aren't all that big into the Disney Princesses, which is fine by me, but the ones they love they got to meet! Jasmine was there too, but Faith was not interested at all, I guess because she has never seen Aladin. Cadence loves Ariel, she was in total awe here!

Faith loves Belle, so this was quite a treat for her.

Steven took Faith on her first roller coaster in toon town. Faith didn't mind it, but didn't want to go on it again. I am glad it was a short ride. Steven also took her on Splash Mountain, which freaked me out, but Faith did pretty well on it, but I don't know if she will be aching to do that one again any time soon. Steven and Faith are in the last car.

We got on Peterpan! I kinda got a picture of Steven, I missed Faith all together.

Here is Cadence and I on Peterpan, she was really into it as you can see. Yes, she has a scrap on her nose, she feel the day before on our glider foot stool. I swear this child never has a clear face!

Right before Peterpan, I love this picture of the two of them.

Faith was trying to find me and wave to me. :)

Steven is such a goof ball.

Faith and I went on Alice in Wonderland, Faith thought the Queen and Cat were too scary. She loved the tea cups!

Cadence catching her afternoon nap.

I didn't get anymore pictures that day. Shortly after 2pm the girls started to get pretty cranky off and on. I think my attention went more to that then on to taking pictures. All in all we had a great time! The girls were pooped and didn't get to see the castle all lit up, but that is ok, they had a good day.

Unexpected gifts

I am so not ready for Christmas. I still have shopping to do and no money to do it! That seems to be the story for a lot of people though. I am so excited though because a friend from church is giving us a play kitchen for our girls! I am glad that they get to receive a big present this year! I know they are going to love it!

Faith was complaining all day yesterday about her leg hurting her. It was really weird because she also had no appetite and was just very mellow. She seems to be doing better today, which is good because we really want to take the kids to Disneyland tomomorrow! I am keeping Faith home from school today, just in case. I am hoping that they fear of rain tomorrow will keep people away from Disneyland so we can just hop onto the rides with no problem! I can't wait to go!!! Hopefully it will work out this time.
I am almost 17 weeks pregnant, my last week in the 4th month. I am waiting very anxiously to feel this baby move. I might have a few times, but it is just so hard to tell. Cadence kicked me like crazy at 16 1/2 weeks, so much so that my stomach was moving! It was crazy! Faith I didn't feel until 20 weeks. I would so love to feel this little one, it just really makes pregnancy so much better when you know everything is ok.
I am really hoping that we can find out what we are having this week. I found a place that charges $85 to get an ultrasound, plus pictures and a video! Steven doesn't want me to spend the money, but it is a 1/3 of the price then going through our insurance right now. I am dying to know what we are having! Steven is conviced it is a girl, only because he wants another little girl. :) I don't care, I know ultimatly Steven doesn't care. I think it is kinda cute that his daughters have taken his heart so much that he wants more. :) Hopefully I will know soon what I am having, though I wont be posting it on here! Ha ha ha! Not till Christmas!

Christmas time

We got our very first Christmas wreath, it smells sooooo good! I love it! Not only do we have a REAL wreath BUT...
We also have a REAL Christmas tree! I love coming into my living room and having my house smell like Christmas! It is the best! I have no clue how to put on lights as you can see, but I love my tree just the same. I actually even put it up in the stand by myself, not an easy task! If you look carefully you will see that it is a bit tilted, but I do not care. It is straight enough for me.

Here is Faith putting on a few decorations.

I have decided that it is impossible to get your kids to cooperate when trying to get pictures of them together. So, here are a few of my attempts to get pictures of the girls before we headed out to a Christmas party. You get the idea of how cute they are. =)

Getting in the Christmas spirit

I have been married for 7 years, and in those 7 years I have never had a Christmas tree. WELL, technically I had a Christmas tree last year. But I don't really count that, see it was $20 from walmart and was just awful. I tossed it after Christmas instead of saving it for this year, it wasn't worth saving. Anyway, I really wanted a REAL tree this year, especially for the girls. So, I went out today and got a tree! My house already smells of pine, I love it! Steven has been singing all day today, he left at 7ish this morning and will be home after 11pm tonight. SO, I had to get the tree from off the top of my car and into my house alone! Fortunately my neighbors across street were putting up Christmas lights, so one of them offered to help me out and brought my tree inside! It was wonderful! I didn't know how I was going to get it in.

My kids are loving seeing the Christmas lights that are going up everyday. It is fun to hear Cadence oooh and ahh whenever she sees lights. Faith wakes up in the morning and mentions how there are no Christmas lights, I then have to remind her that it has to be dark to see the lights.

I will post pictures of my sadly decorated tree later on. It isn't great, but at least I have a tree!

First school picture

I can't believe my little girl has her first school picture. It took almost 15 shots to get this one. The child would just not smile! Once we got this one I told the lady, we are good let's just take that one! The line of other children waiting to get their picture taken was getting quite long. I am pretty happy with how this turned out though.

Faith is LOVING preschool and doesn't mind at all going every day. She actually asks to go to preschool over the weekend. Today she started singing a song about the different continents! I know she is learing so much there, I am glad Steven suggested this, it has been great for her. I wanted to keep my little girl home with me, but she is thriving there, it is wonderful.

100 things

1st trimester is over....moving on!

I am almost 14 weeks, I am out of the 1st trimester! Woohoo! I am so excited! I got to get an ultrasound done this last week on the 20th of this month. I went to the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Moorpark. They are currently training their nurses to be able to do ultrasounds so they needed a lot pregnant women to volunteer to help them train. And being that they were looking only for those 20 and less, I was a perfect candidate. I got to see my little one for such a long time, it was wonderful! Baby Harms #3 is measuring right on time and was moving and kicking so much! In about a month I will be feeling those kicks. :)

I keep telling Faith that I have a baby growing in my tummy, but I don't think she gets it just yet. I am sure once I start showing she will start understanding more.

Car accident, pregnancy, girls and singing

On Tuesday Steven was in a car accident. He was rear ended while on his way to a rehearsal. He is fine, but the back of our Honda got smashed. I was going to post pictures, but I haven't taken them yet. Apparently he had stopped because a car ahead of him was pulling out of somewhere, so it wasn't a normal stopping spot and the car behind got caught of guard and hit Steven, which caused Steven to hit the stopped car infront of him. Steven is a little sore from the accident, but is doing well otherwise. Just waiting now to find out what happens with the insurance and all that fun stuff!

I FINALLY finished my test for my NASM recertification! I have had my certification as a personal trainer since before I had Faith, I am not really doing anything with it right now, but I don't want to let it go. I was really dragging my feet and was running out of time to get it done. With Steven's encouragment and help I was able to finish it on Friday! All I need to do now is renew my CPR and I am good to go for 2 more years! Never again will I do online tests. I will from here on out go the the 2 day seminars, so much faster and easier! Hopefully I will start applying this stuff that I know!

Just my girls from today in the car running a fast errand.

I am now 12 1/2 weeks pregnant. I feel normal again! no more morning sickness or food aversions, and I don't feel super sleepy anymore! It is wonderful to feel like myself again! It is weird though, going from feeling SOOO pregnant, to just feeling like me again. :) I am still waiting to find out about my health insurance for this pregnancy. Hopefully I will have another appointment soon. If anything I just hope to get one before Christmas so I can find out what I am having!

Here I am at 11 weeks pregnant. Yeah....#3 does show faster! Though all that tummy you see is not baby it is bloating! ha ha ha! The baby is still super low and super small!

My sleeping baby...so sweet.

Faith wanted to read to Cadence tonight, it was so sweet so I thought I would share.

Some daddy time

Faith and Cadence had fun trying to dress up in daddy's clothes. Cadence put on daddy's shirt while Faith put on his bathrob. Shortly after they had some singing time. Enjoy. =)

Halloween

Halloween was so much fun! I ended up going to my parents house for the weekend. We went to the mall to do trick or treating but we got there too late so most of the stores had run out of candy to give away. We then grabbed some dinner and went truck or treating at a church right across from the mall. The girls had so much fun.

Pumpkin time!

I still have yet to figure out how to arrange pictures the way I want them, so here they are.

Faith had a lot of fun painting her pumpkin, she also stuck a lot of eyes on it and horse stickers. :)

Here is how they started. One is for Cadence, though I have yet to have Cadence decorate it.
Here is Faith's final product. Isn't she um....creative?

Here is the pumpkin I did. I wanted to do something more challenging and creative, but while carving this Faith was squeezing finger paint onto the carpet and then using the finger paint to paint a cabinet. Mommy was NOT happy! Glad I went with something simple.

When it got dark outside I took the girls onto the porch and showed them what a jack-o-lantern was and how it worked. Faith thought it was the coolest thing! Cadence of course just wanted to touch it, which obviously was not going to happen.

Faith is very excited to be a bumble bee for Halloween! I can't wait to drop her off at school on Friday and see all the other 3 and 4 year olds dressed up. I know a lot of people have issues with Halloween, but I must say I love being able to dress up, when else do we get to do that without people shooting strange looks over our way? Though, since becoming a mom I have stopped dressing up, I would like to but I am so cheap. Perhaps I should go hit up the goodwill and see what I can find!
